Job Background/Context:
You will join the Equity Derivatives Trade management and Reference Data technology team in London, specializing in supporting the strategic reference data platform used by Global Equity Derivatives business. This team is a key partner to the markets business and has been a major contributor to its success. In line with business expansion plans, and to close the gap to competition, the organization is undertaking long term programme of platform review and redevelopment. The ability to solve challenging business problems and manage projects effectively and efficiently in a complex technical environment is vital to the success of the overall strategy.

Job Purpose:
This is a high visibility position to drive the execution of the Global Equity Derivatives Strategic Reference Data book of work. The successful candidate will partner with technology and business organizations to provide solutions that underpin the operations of our clients and traders that enhance the foundation of our Equity Derivatives business. This is an area of great opportunity and has been identified as a major strategic transformational area for Citi - with technology providing the key to unlock this potential. The IT Business Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Responsibilities:
Overall ownership of the following functions within the group:
• Problem definition & requirements gathering • Use case capture & documentation • Process & workflow documentation & re-engineering • Data analysis • Test case definition & testing co-ordination across multiple areas, products and regions in conjunction with QA counterparts. • Project management including, but not limited to status reporting, milestone, risk and issue management • Clear, concise and accurate communication at all stages of a project
• Adherence to internal Citi BA/PM & SDLC standards Development Value:

Knowledge/Experience:
• Extensive experience working as a Business Analyst • Extensive knowledge of derivative products, preferably understanding of reference data required across Risk, Trade Management, Lifecycle & Corporate Actions
• Strong analytical background particularly in relation to data analysis
• Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle from inception to maturity, as well as key regulatory requirements
• Previous experience in of the full project lifecycle
• Experience working with globally distributed development teams
• Proven delivery track of complex global projects
• Basic knowledge of data modelling
• Ability to navigate a database and use SQL to extract data
• Formal project management
• Good working knowledge of Excel, Visio, JIRA & Confluence Skills:
• Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills: Ability to see big picture, but also drill down into details
• Superb communication and influencing skills
• Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts
• Ability to work independently, yet escalate at the right time
• Self-motivated with an enthusiastic and proactive approach
• Able to work in a highly organized and structured manner

• Strong SQL is essential
• Minimum of a basic understanding of data modelling & object orientation Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance and/or Technology Courses/advanced degree in Finance would be a plus Project management qualification beneficial but not essential. Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
